MOUNTAIN HOME, Idaho (AP) - The Elmore County Sheriff’s Office in southwest Idaho says deputies on Tuesday were involved in a shooting.

The sheriff’s office says no deputies were injured and that Idaho State Police are heading to the scene to investigate.

The sheriff’s office didn’t say if anyone else was injured or where the shooting occurred. The sheriff’s office didn’t immediately return calls from The Associated Press.

The sheriff’s office says it’s looking for two vehicles whose occupants might have witnessed the incident.

Officials say both vehicles were eastbound on Interstate 84 at milepost 110.

One vehicle is described as a maroon colored car and the other a black or blue small- to medium-sized sport utility vehicle.
