HAZLEHURST, Miss. (AP) - State officials say McNeely Plastics, a plastic products manufacturer, is investing $6.5 million in an expansion of its operations and creating 25 new jobs.

A state news release on Tuesday said McNeely Plastics has expanded its operations by moving into a 59,000-square-foot, county-owned facility in the Copiah County Industrial Park in Hazlehurst, Mississippi.

In the news release, Gov. Phil Bryant said the company’s expansion was proof that his administration is working to make the state appealing to businesses.

The Mississippi Development Authority provided loan assistance to help the company purchase and renovate the building.

McNeely Plastics also has a location in Clinton, Mississippi, where it employs about 100 people.
