NEW YORK (AP) - A man shot and injured by a New York City police officer during a burglary has been arrested.

Police say on Tuesday that Felix Perez is being held on burglary, possession of stolen property and resisting arrest charges.

The 31-year-old Brooklyn man was in custody and unavailable to comment. It wasn’t immediately clear if he had an attorney who could comment on his behalf.

Police say Perez was shot once in the groin Monday afternoon after charging a police officer who was investigating a home burglary in Queens.

He was unarmed.

Authorities say a woman monitoring a nanny cam noticed Perez in her home and called 911 from her nearby office. They say she let two officers inside, one of whom found Perez in a rear bedroom.
