FORT JACKSON, S.C. (AP) - Fort Jackson is the site for a job fair aimed at helping military veterans and their spouses find work.

Tuesday’s event begins at 8:30 a.m. at the Solomon Center on Strom Thurmond Blvd. on Fort Jackson.

The Columbia Chamber of Commerce is helping sponsor the event. Veterans of the National Guard and military reserves are also invited.

More than 50 local and national employers are expected to participate.

A morning workshop will cover topics such as networking and interview tips. Volunteer career coaches also are to be available to those who want to develop their job pitch, participate in a mock interview and create a more effective resume.
