TILTON, N.H. (AP) - Police in Tilton, New Hampshire, say a 72-year-old woman died Monday after her van collided with a pickup truck on Route 3.

WMUR-TV reports (https://bit.ly/2aKD713) police said Josephine Lepelley, of Northfield, crossed the center line just after 4:30 p.m. Monday. The pickup, driven by Matthew Otto, of Belmont, tried to avoid a collision, but the vehicles crashed.

Lepelley died in the accident. Two small dogs were recovered from her van; they weren’t hurt. Otto was treated and released.

Police are investigating the crash.
