LAKE WORTH, Fla. (AP) - A Lake Worth man facing charges of killing his wife has been denied bond.

The Palm Beach Post (https://pbpo.st/2b7Iae8 ) reports that a judge on Sunday ordered Walter Lopez Barrios held without bond.

A Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office report says Barrios was arrested early Saturday after deputies responded to calls about an armed-domestic disturbance.

The report says that deputies found Barrios’ wife with blunt trauma to her head. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Deputies say the couple’s two teen-age daughters witnessed part of the altercation that led to their mother’s death.

The report says Barrios fled their home.

He was later arrested by authorities after he got into a single-car crash on Interstate 95.
