LOVELAND, Colo. (AP) - The Larimer County Coroner’s Office says a husband and wife riding a motorcycle were killed in a crash near the mouth of the Big Thompson Canyon on Sunday.

Authorities say Joshua and Sherri Zander of Fort Collins collided head on with a vehicle on U.S. Highway 34 at around 5 p.m.

The crash closed down the highway to Rocky Mountain National Park for several hours.

The Loveland Reporter-Herald (https://bit.ly/1IYZ9cF ) says the park reported heavy traffic over the weekend and many drivers had to use the alternate route of U.S. 36 to return home.
