JERSEY CITY, N.J. (AP) - Authorities say a former New Jersey church pastor who fled the country after he was convicted of sexually assaulting a teenage boy is now back in the United States.

But it’s not yet known when Gregorio Martinez will be brought back to Hudson County for sentencing. He also faces additional sexual assault allegations there involving three other males who came forward following his conviction in February 2015.

Martinez was apprehended Tuesday in the Honduras and brought back to the U.S. on Saturday. Officials say he’s being held in a detention center in Miami.

Authorities had been searching for Martinez since he failed to appear at a pre-sentencing hearing. They say he knew the 13-year-old boy and the three other alleged victims through churches in Hudson County.
