CINCINNATI (AP) - Cincinnati’s new streetcar has a new name following a 10-year, $3.4 million deal with a communications and technology company.

The streetcar will be known as the “Cincinnati Bell Connector.” Its colors and logo will be changed to fit Cincinnati Bell’s branding.

Boarding stations also will feature the company’s blue and green colors. Details are expected to be released before the streetcar’s opening, scheduled for Sept. 9.

Advertising Vehicles helped broker the deal and is to receive nearly $1.3 million of the money.

Officials say the deal nets more than $200,000 a year for streetcar operations.

The streetcar will run a 3.6-mile loop through downtown.
