CARMEL, N.Y. (AP) - A judge has revoked a defendant’s $1 million bail as he awaits a third trial on charges he raped and murdered a 12-year-old girl.

Anthony DiPippo was released from a Carmel, New York, jail in June. It was the first time he’d been free since his 1996 arrest in the slaying of Josette Wright.

The Journal News (https://lohud.us/2bLdYRR ) says DiPippo was ordered back to jail Monday. Prosecutors had complained about his social media posts.

Wright vanished in 1994. Her remains were found more than a year later in a wooded area in Patterson.

DiPippo was convicted of murdering and raping the girl in two separate trials. Both convictions were overturned.

He’s maintained his innocence.

Another man charged in the case was convicted in 1997. He’s serving 25 years to life behind bars.
