PLAINFIELD, N.J. (AP) - A 23-year-old man is heading to prison in the fatal shooting of a New Jersey deli owner five years ago.

Prosecutors announced Monday that Shalik Coleman was sentenced last week to 25 years behind bars in the fatal shooting of 47-year-old Eduardo Leaty during an attempted robbery.

Authorities say that on July 2, 2011, three masked men rushed into Leaty Grocery in Plainfield and attempted to rob Leaty and one of his employees. Prosecutors say something went wrong during the holdup and Leaty was fatally shot.

Coleman pleaded guilty earlier this year to first-degree aggravated manslaughter. Investigators are still looking for two other suspects involved in the robbery.
