RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) - A 49-year-old Rapid City man is accused of stomping to death a kitten following an alcohol-fueled fight with his girlfriend.

Francis Blackfeather was arrested July 28 and faces a felony animal cruelty charge punishable by up to two years in prison. He also is accused in an unrelated incident of carrying a concealed weapon.

The Rapid City Journal reports (https://bit.ly/2bz2zIk ) that Blackfeather appeared in court via video from jail Monday. He did not enter pleas. He was granted bond on the alleged weapons violation and is due back in court Sept. 12 on the animal cruelty charge.
