FORT CALHOUN, Neb. (AP) - A Nebraska State Historical Society archaeologist will lead tours at Fort Atkinson State Historical Park during a Living History Weekend set for Sept. 3-4.

Tours start at 12:30 p.m. each day at the Powder Magazine. Visitors can view a re-enacted World War II encampment and see demonstrations of various trades and crafts from the 1820s.

Fort Atkinson sits on the east side of Fort Calhoun, which is situated 15 miles north of Omaha. A park entry permit is required for all vehicles and can be purchased at the park.
