MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) - A Memphis couple convicted in a spree of robberies at businesses last year has been sentenced to a total of 33 years in prison.

Federal prosecutors say in a news release that 33-year-old Julius Knight and 25-year-old Deidra Mason were sentenced this month for the armed robberies that occurred in May and June 2015.

Knight pleaded guilty in May to robbing a business, aiding and abetting and using a firearm during a robbery. He was sentenced to 28 years in prison.

Mason, the getaway driver, pleaded guilty in April to aiding and abetting and was sentenced to five years and three months.
