MILLERSVILLE, Md. (AP) - Anne Arundel police say a man who was indicted in the death of a woman whose body was found in May has been charged in a 2012 slaying.

Police spokeswoman Cpl. Jacklyn Davis said at a news conference that 29-year-old Christopher Scheibe (SHY-bee) was charged Monday with first-degree murder in the death 20-year-old Jessica Lee. Her body was found in August 2012, three months after she was reported missing, in a wooded area in behind a store.

Scheibe, who police say is homeless, was indicted in July on a charge of first-degree murder in the death of 24-year-old Holly Smith. Her body was found in May in a wooded area behind a shopping mall.

Police say both women died from stab wounds.

Scheibe’s lawyer could not be reached for comment.
