TOWN OF FOND DU LAC, Wis. (AP) - Authorities say two people were hurt when a single-engine plane crashed after apparently striking power lines in east-central Wisconsin.

The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office says the plane came down Wednesday morning near an intersection in the Town of Fond du Lac.

The sheriff’s office says two people aboard the plane suffered “numerous injuries” and are being taken to hospitals.

Authorities say the plane apparently struck power lines along Esterbrook Road and lost control.

Part of the road is closed while emergency and power crews work at the scene.
