BRIGHTON, Mich. (AP) - Two jail inmates are locked up again after escaping while a deputy prepared to put them in a vehicle in Livingston County.

The Ann Arbor News (https://bit.ly/2aVowy8 ) says Lisa Finlayson of South Lyon was found in a Brighton pond about 20 minutes later Wednesday. But Nicole Vermeylen of Flushing was tougher to find.

Undersheriff Mike Murphy says Vermeylen broke into a house for a change of clothes before she was caught an hour after the escape.

The women earlier had appeared in court in Brighton and were wearing handcuffs.
