NEW ORLEANS (AP) - The Jefferson Parish District Attorney’s Office says a New Orleans woman’s guilty plea brings to three the number of people who have admitted guilt in a 2014 killing.

In a news release, prosecutors said 25-year-old Markeisha Lewis pleaded guilty Monday to manslaughter and other charges connected to the June 27, 2014, death of 24-year-old Demone Robinson of Harvey.

Lewis’s plea agreement calls for a 25-year prison sentence.

Robinson was shot to death during an attempt to rob him of Xanax pills and a pistol.

The shooter, Everis Hilton of New Orleans, pleaded guilty to manslaughter on July 12, and received a 40-year sentence. Hilton was 16 years old at the time of the offense.

Nineteen-year-old Raynell Whittaker of Harvey pleaded guilty to manslaughter June 10 for a 30-year prison sentence.
