PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Police say an officer pulled an unconscious man out of a burning car following a crash in north Philadelphia.

WPVI-TV reports (https://6abc.cm/2aAHTvc ) it happened around 1 a.m. Wednesday in the Logan section of the city. Police say a driver lost control of his car on Broad Street and hit a median strip and two parked cars.

The front end of the car caught fire following the crash and an officer riding by noticed the flames shooting from the car. Police say the officer saw the victim, opened a passenger side door and pulled the victim to safety.

The man has been taken to a hospital with cuts, bruises and a head injury. Police say he’s in stable condition.
