CODY, Wyo. (AP) - Cody police are investigating after they say three spectators were injured at a gun fighting performance.

Police Chief Chuck Baker says in a news release that a 37-year-old man and his 3-year-old daughter, both from Minnesota, received treatment at a hospital for minor injuries and were released after the Friday incident. A 22-year-old New York man was treated at the scene.

Officers had responded to the Cody Gunfighters Show to a report that three people “had been struck by some type of fragments.”

Baker didn’t confirm or deny whether live rounds were fired. He says officers recovered “prop weapons” and a handgun turned over by a member of the show was sent for testing.

Baker has suspended the show, which is performed six nights a week during the summer months.
