HAMPTON, N.H. (AP) - A woman known as the “shooting gallery lady” who ran a popular shooting game at a New Hampshire beach for decades has died.

Hampton Beach Casino manager Jake Fleming tells The Portsmouth Herald (https://bit.ly/2aBfODS ) that Elizabeth Moreau suffered a stroke at work and at her home on Monday. She was then taken to a Boston hospital where she died.

Moreau ran an arcade game resembling a cowboy saloon that featured several old-timey targets. She had run the shooting game with her husband, Robert, since he bought the range in 1985.

Fleming says the Moreaus had recently sold the game, but continued to work there.

Hampton Beach Village District Marketing Director John Kane said she’s “an iconic feature of Hampton Beach.”
