LOS ANGELES (AP) - A Los Angeles police officer has pleaded not guilty to a number of misdemeanor charges, including theft of a police radio.

The Los Angeles Times reports (https://lat.ms/2coqVpi ) that prosecutors charged 27-year-old Jessica Guzzetti in July with stealing a Los Angeles Police Department radio in 2013, improperly searching a Department of Justice database in 2014 and not paying for a baby stroller in 2015.

Jackie Robnett says Guzzetti and her boyfriend offered to pay by check for her stroller, which was listed on Craigslist. Robnett says Guzzetti’s check didn’t go through and the woman later declined to pay or return the stroller.

Guzzetti couldn’t be reached for comment. Her attorney, R. Alex Comley, says she acted without criminal intent.

Comley told The Times that Guzzetti has tried to make things right.
