NORTH STONINGTON, Conn. (AP) - A Connecticut State Police trooper has been suspended after being charged with first-degree threatening.

State police said Tuesday that 43-year-old David Greene was arrested Saturday after a woman in North Stonington reported that Greene threatened her. Greene is an 18-year veteran of the state police.

Police say an investigation will be conducted.

Greene was scheduled to appear in court Monday. It’s unclear whether Greene has a lawyer who could comment on the charge.

Online public records didn’t list a phone number for Greene.
