PATERSON, N.J. (AP) - One man was killed and another was wounded in a shooting outside a Paterson home, the third slaying to occur in the city over the past five days.

Authorities say 37-year-old Joseph “Roc” Tann was shot in the head late Tuesday. He was taken to a hospital but died there a short time later.

The wounded man, 24-year-old Tyrus Odom-Holly, was shot in the shoulder. Further details on his condition were not released.

A motive for the shooting remains under investigation.

Authorities say the two men were outside Tann’s home when a man ran up to them and started shooting. The gunman fled the area a short time later.

Four people have been killed and 16 others were wounded in shootings that occurred in Paterson this month.
