EAST GREENVILLE, Pa. (AP) - Officials say a suburban Philadelphia man who collapsed while running a half-marathon earlier this month died due to heat stroke complications.

The Express-Times in Easton reports (https://bit.ly/2bV1uZn ) 23-year-old John McMordie was running a half-marathon before 10 a.m. on Aug. 21 in East Greenville when he collapsed and was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital.

The Perkasie man was pronounced dead Friday afternoon.

An autopsy performed Saturday determined the death was accidental.
