SALYERSVILLE, Ky. (AP) - An exit ramp from the Mountain Parkway in eastern Kentucky has been closed for a couple of weeks.

Transportation officials say the closure is for the eastbound exit ramp to Kentucky 30 in Magoffin County. It is being closed to allow the existing ramp to be replaced with a new ramp.

Signs and message boards will advise travelers of the closure, which is scheduled to continue through 9 a.m. Sept. 12.

To access Kentucky 30 while the ramp is closed, motorists may use the Kentucky 7 interchange at Exit 75, re-enter the parkway heading west and exit onto Kentucky 30.

The ramp replacement is part of the Mountain Parkway expansion. Construction work is currently underway between mile points 69 and 75. The speed limit has been reduced.
