CASPER, Wyo. (AP) - Texting while driving is being investigated as a cause of a head-on collision between a car and a pickup truck that killed one person.

The Wyoming Highway Patrol says the crash occurred about 6 p.m. Wednesday about 2 miles south of Casper.

The crashed killed 31-year-old Matthew Robinson, of Casper.

The patrol says Robinson was driving a 2016 Toyota Camry south when his car crossed the center line into the northbound oncoming lane of travel where it collided with a northbound Ford F-150 pickup truck.

A driver and passenger in the pickup were treated and released for injuries at Wyoming Medical Center in Casper. Both occupants in the pickup were wearing seat belts, while Robinson was not.
