TOWN OF FOREST, Wis. (AP) - Authorities have release the names of two people whose bodies were found after a house fire in southwestern Wisconsin.

The Vernon County Sheriff’s Office identifies the victims as 54-year-old Gene Zautke and 56-year-old Vicki Ozelis. Authorities say the two lived at the home in rural LaFarge.

Sheriff’s officials say investigators determined the house was occupied by the two people when the fire broke out early Monday. The house was engulfed in flames when two passing motorists reported the fire.

The bodies were found after a search and recovery effort.

The cause of the fire was under investigation.
