LOCKPORT, N.Y. (AP) - Identical twin brothers have been sentenced to 20 years in prison for killing a man as he sat in a car outside a Niagara Falls bar last August.

Niagara County Judge Sara Sheldon sentenced 22-year-old Deon and Keon McTyere on Thursday for the shooting death of 31-year-old Fajri Hilson.

Investigators say Hilson was sitting in a car parked near Max’s Lounge, a McTyere family business, when the twins walked up to either side and shot him at least 10 times.

The brothers pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of first-degree manslaughter in a plea deal in May. They had been charged with second-degree murder, which carries a potential sentence of life in prison.
