NATCHEZ, Miss. (AP) - The bond for a 36-year-old Natchez man accused of murder has been reduced from $800,000 to $500,000.

The Natchez Democrat reports (https://bit.ly/2ayQ8Xb) Circuit Court Judge Forrest Johnson granted a motion for a reduced bond Thursday for Lavander Williams, who is charged with murder and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.

Williams is accused in the shooting death of Charles Knight following an argument on Nov. 15, 2015.

Williams’ trial is set for Nov. 22.
