FARGO, N.D. (AP) - Sophomore cornerback Dakota Reid has left North Dakota State, citing personal reasons.

WDAY-TV reports that Reid had been battling for a starting spot. He played in eight games last season, starting one of them.

Bison coach Chris Klieman has cited cornerback as one of the positions where the five-time defending Football Championship Subdivision champions need more depth.
