NORCROSS, Ga. (AP) - Gwinnett County police say a 61-year-old woman and her 29-year-old son were both found dead inside their Norcross apartment.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution (https://on-ajc.com/2avtqEd ) reports that police do not know how Nicola and James Sramek died or how long they had been dead.

Gwinnett police Cpl. Deon Washington says the cause of death and approximate length of time the two were dead inside the apartment will be determined by the Gwinnett County Medical Examiner.

Gwinnett police Cpl. Collin Flynn says police went to the Chelsea Park Lane apartment on Sunday around 10 p.m. after a concerned family called police, unable to make contact with the Srameks.

Flynn says officers found the pair dead inside.

Police say the deaths are being treated as suspicious and the homicide unit is investigating.
