FAIRFAX, Va. (AP) - One man has died and another is in critical condition after a 69-year-old driver crashed into a Fairfax McDonald’s.

Fairfax City Police say in a statement that shortly before 7 a.m. on Monday, the man’s car struck the north-side wall of the McDonald’s, trapping two people between the tables they were sitting at and the wall.

Police say 78-year-old Harold Skeins of Fairfax died of his injuries. Another man, whose name hasn’t been released, is in critical condition at an area hospital.

The incident remains under investigation. Police haven’t filed any charges.

Authorities haven’t released additional information about the identity of the driver, the cause of the crash or the vehicle involved.
