CLAY TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - Authorities say the body of a missing man has been found in a canal in St. Clair County.

The sheriff’s department says 21-year-old Jake Ward was last seen over the weekend in Clay Township. The Times Herald of Port Huron reports (https://bwne.ws/2baz9Nz ) he had been visiting a home in the area and his body was found Monday night.

Deputy Steve Campau says there was “no obvious signs of injury,” but an autopsy is planned.

Authorities say Ward’s body was found by a homeowner in Clay Township. The sheriff’s department says the death appears to be accidental.
