STANDISH, Maine (AP) - Authorities say a driver has died after veering off a road hitting a tree in Standish, Maine.

The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office says 46-year-old Steven LaCourse, of Buxton, died at the scene of the crash on Monday.

LaCourse was traveling south on the Ossipee Trail when he left the road, crossed a lawn and hit a tree.

No one else was in the pickup truck.

Alcohol and speed are not believed to be factors in the crash.
