PHILADELPHIA (AP) - A 3-year-old girl was killed when police say she was ejected from a car that was struck by another vehicle in north Philadelphia.

Investigators say the crash happened at about 7:15 p.m. Monday. Police say the girl, her mother and grandmother were traveling in a Honda when it was hit by another car being driven by a 17-year-old boy.

Chief Inspector Scott Small says witnesses have told police the 17-year-old was racing another vehicle when the crash occurred. He says the teen may have been driving at a high rate of speed.

Police are still looking for a second driver who may have been racing the 17-year-old.

The boy is listed stable condition at a hospital.

The girl was taken to a hospital, where she died less than an hour later.
