DETROIT (AP) - A 24-year-old Detroit man has been charged in the wounding of his younger brother and fatal shooting of a woman in the brothers’ northwest side home.

The Wayne County prosecutor’s office says Jujuan Emel-Lamar Cash was arraigned Tuesday on first-degree murder, assault with intent to murder and armed robbery charges.

Authorities say Cash’s 23-year-old brother and his brother’s 24-year-old female friend were shot Sunday morning as they lay in bed.

Cash chased his brother who ran to a nearby home improvement store. A clerk at the store also was robbed. Police say Cash then returned home where he was arrested.

His brother was hospitalized.

Cash faces an Aug. 18 probable cause conference and an Aug. 25 preliminary examination.
