BALTIMORE (AP) - Shop Maryland Tax-Free Week is coming.

Comptroller Peter Franchot will be in Baltimore on Tuesday highlighting the upcoming week. He will join local retailers and officials at Mondawmin Mall in Baltimore.

It’s the second of five stops across the state promoting the week, which begins Sunday and lasts through the following Saturday.

During tax-free week, qualifying clothes and footwear priced $100 or less are exempt from Maryland’s 6 percent sales tax.

The comptroller will be in Frederick on Wednesday and Towson on Thursday to promote tax-free week. He’ll be in Cambridge on Friday.
