MILWAUKEE (AP) - Donald Trump’s running mate is headed to Wisconsin this week.

Indiana Gov. Mike Pence is scheduled to make appearances in La Crosse and Milwaukee on Thursday. Pence will be at the Cartwright Center in La Crosse at 3 p.m. Aug. 11 and at the downtown Hilton in Milwaukee at 7 p.m.

Since his selection as the Republican presidential nominee’s running mate, Pence has tried to stay focused on winning over conservatives skeptical of the New York billionaire.

Pence has remained loyal to Trump while trying to maintain his reputation as a principled, down-to-earth Midwesterner as he attempts to appeal to the more conservative wings of the Republican Party.
