NEW YORK (AP) - Police say two people were injured when they became the victims of what appear to be stray bullets in the Bronx.

Investigators say gunshots rang out around 8 p.m. Monday and hit a 20-year-old woman and a 63-year-old man. Authorities say both victims were shot in the leg and were taken to St. Barnabas Hospital with injuries that don’t appear to be life-threatening.

Police say the victim’s didn’t know each other and didn’t appear to be the targets of the shooting.

No arrests have been made.

The shooting remains under investigation.
