NEW YORK (AP) - Police have increased the reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction in last week’s killing of a 30-year-old woman whose body was found after she went for a run in Queens.

Police announced the $20,000 reward on Tuesday.

Karina Vetrano’s body was found last Tuesday in a recreation area adjacent to her home in the Howard Beach section of Queens.

An autopsy showed she died from strangulation. Her clothes were in disarray, indicating a possible sexual assault.

Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
