SLIDELL, La. (AP) - Slidell police have made an arrest in an 11 month old drug overdose death case.

Assistant Police Chief Kevin Swann said in news release Tuesday 36-year-old Joseph Laue was arrested Monday and faces charges of second-degree murder and drug distribution.

Swann says Albert Marant died of a heroin overdose on Aug. 25, 2015.

He says their investigation establish that Laue provided Marant with the heroin that is believed to have caused his death.

Laue is being held at the St. Tammany Parish Jail. Online records do not list an attorney for him.
