DENVER (AP) - Authorities say a worker at an aluminum plant in Denver has died after being caught in a machine.

Denver Fire Department spokeswoman Melissa Taylor tells The Denver Post (https://dpo.st/2b3yn6D ) that it responded to the incident at KBP Coil Coaters shortly after 7 a.m. Tuesday.

The name of the victim was not immediately released.

Taylor says the worker became trapped in a machine called an aluminum splitter and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The company’s web site describes itself as one of North America’s largest independent buyers of aluminum and steel coil.
