BAY CITY, Mich. (AP) - Police in Bay City say they have two suspects in custody after a man found dead during a Thanksgiving Day house fire was found to be stabbed multiple times.

Bay City Public Safety Director Michael Cecchini said Thursday that a 21-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy were arrested on murder and arson charges. Steven Alan Bouza was found dead Nov. 24.

Cecchini says no other suspects are at large. He says the 54-year-old Bouza “was known to be a very kind and generous individual who helped a lot of people.” Cecchini says police think Bouza helped the two suspects in the past. He says police don’t think the suspects’ primary motive was to kill Bouza but investigators think they set the fire to conceal the crime.

The suspects are expected to be arraigned Friday.
