WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) - Wilmington Fire Department officials say a firefighter who was critically injured in a rowhouse blaze that killed two of her colleagues has died.

Fire chief Anthony Goode said Ardythe Hope, who had been hospitalized since the Sept. 24 fire, died Thursday.

Lt. Christopher Leach and Senior Firefighter Jerry Fickes were killed after the first floor of the burning rowhome collapsed, trapping them in the basement.

A fourth firefighter was injured.

Beatrice Fana-Ruiz, the daughter of the homeowner and a temporary resident, has been charged with arson and murder for intentionally setting the fire.
