HARTSELLE, Ala. (AP) - Hartselle City Schools has placed Chief Financial Officer John Godwin on paid administrative leave with pay, but school officials are not releasing any reasons for the decision.

Superintendent Vic Wilson tells The Decatur Daily (https://bit.ly/2fWy6nU ) on Thursday that Godwin’s on leave pending an investigation. He declined to provide details on what the investigation involves.

Godwin has a three-year contract that pays $96,600 annually. He began his job with the school system on Sept. 1 after being hired away from Morgan County Schools, where he also served as chief financial officer.
