LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - Police are still looking for two puppies stolen from Crete earlier this month, but four stolen puppies have been recovered.

The Lincoln Journal Star reports (https://bit.ly/2hact4w ) the puppies were taken when their 5-weeks-old from their kennel near Luis Cuevas’ workshop on Dec. 5.

Police found three of the dogs when they arrested a 29-year-old woman on an outstanding warrant.

A fourth puppy was found after a Lincoln man who paid $200 for the dog realized it might be one of the stolen dogs.

Cuevas says he had initially planned to keep all the puppies, but now he plans to return the dog to the Lincoln man when its older because of his honesty.
