MESA, Ariz. (AP) - An Apache Junction woman is charged with aggravated assault and endangerment in connection with a road rage incident in Mesa.

Shannon Marie French was put on supervised release Monday and told by a judge that she’ll have to wear an ankle bracelet. Her next court date is Dec. 23.

Authorities say a father and son on their way home from work last Friday were shot at twice with an airsoft BB gun.

The victims say French was tailgating him and they believed she was angry because the man wasn’t driving fast enough.

They say French then sped up to the right lane and pointed a gun at the man’s son sitting in the passenger seat and fired two shots.

The man called 911 and the 35-year-old French was later arrested.
