PLEASANTVILLE, N.J. (AP) - One person is dead after a car hit a New Jersey Transit bus on the Atlantic City Expressway.

State Police Sgt. Jeff Flynn says the driver of a Honda rear-ended the bus around 5 a.m. Monday in the westbound lanes near milepost 3.6 in Pleasantville. The name of the motorist has not been released.

NJ Transit says the bus, which was on the 507 Line, had dropped off its last passenger and was headed to the garage when the accident occurred. The bus driver was not injured.

The crash is under investigation.
