WINTER HAVEN, Fla. (AP) - Two teenage boys suspected in a shooting at a Pine Hills gas station that killed an innocent woman have been arrested.

Polk County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Donna Wood tells local media that the teens, ages 16 and 17 and from Orange County, were arrested Saturday in Winter Haven.

The suspects had stolen a Dodge Charger on Saturday afternoon from a Winter Haven gas station. Deputies later spotted the Charger driving West on Interstate 4 and deployed stop sticks near Highway 557. The teens hit the sticks and crashed into the ditch.

The boys are suspected of shooting 27-year-old Kendra Lewis in the face Wednesday while she was sitting in a car with her 5-year-old daughter at a gas station. Lewis died Thursday.

Orange County Sheriff’s Captain Angelo Nieves says both teens face a first-degree homicide charge.
